The Business Travel Association (BTA) has announced the appointment of Andrew Clarke as its new Interim Strategic Director.

He will be pivotal in planning and executing the BTAโ€™s move from an office based to a virtual organisation, managing content programmes for members and partners for the rest of 2021, and helping to deliver an outstanding BTA conference in September this year. He will also work alongside the core BTA team in showcasing the crucial role business travel plays in the UK and the wider global economy.

Clive Wratten, CEO of the BTA said: “I am so pleased to welcome Andrew to our growing team, and I am thrilled we have been able to secure someone with so much knowledge and passion for our industry.

โ€œThe BTA and our beloved sector will benefit hugely from his breadth of experience, drive and can-do attitude. Andrewโ€™s hire reaffirms the BTAโ€™s ongoing commitment to business travel, and our promise to step up our fight to re-energise our industry.โ€

Clarke added: โ€œI am very excited to be joining the BTA team as their newย Interim Strategic Director. Having seen first-hand the fantastic output the BTA has achieved over the last few years, it is a great privilege to be working alongside Clive and his dedicated team.

โ€œI am really looking forward to supporting the BTAโ€™s visibility across the sector as our member and partnership base continues to grow and thrive.โ€
