Recent graduates looking to break into a career as a PA, or those simply after a change in scenery, will notice that the job market for secretarial and support roles is full of possibilities. Vacancies in this sector are on the rise, according to a recent study by specialist recruiter Robert Walters.
The research shows that the volume of vacancies available for support roles in the UK market increased by 2% in the second quarter of 2013. The index tracks movements in the number of vacancies posted on job boards and measures changes recorded across key sectors.
The rise in vacancies was most obvious in Scotland, where a reported boost in employer demand caused the number of vacancies to increase by 44%. Pronounced growth was also observed in the north of England, where the figure was more than 5%.
