PA Life shortlisted as finalist in PPA Awards

PA Life has been shortlisted as a finalist in the PPA Awards 2014, a highly prestigious annual awards event for the magazine publishing industry. PA Life saw off competition from literally hundreds of other entries to be shortlisted in the Publishing Innovator of the Year category. In its submission, the magazine highlighted the various innovations that have been put in place since it was acquired by Forum Events Media in January last year.

These include the launch of the PA Life Club, a membership association for readers that provides them with a host of deals and special offers from high street retailers and the creation of a series of training courses, the first of which debuted earlier this month at Londonโ€™s Emirates Stadium.

The magazine has also set up regular networking events for senior administrative professionals across the UK. In addition, it introduced a fortnightly e-newsletter and supplements such as Party Planning and Corporate Hospitality that work as at-a-glance, handbag-sized supplier guides for PAs.

Commenting on the nomination, PA Life Editor Colette Doyle said: โ€œBeing shortlisted as a finalist in the PPA Awards is a tremendous achievement, given that the magazine hasnโ€™t yet celebrated its third anniversary. It is a testimony to the hard work and dedication of the editorial, sales and marketing teams and to the resources that Forum Events has invested in the publication, as well as its commitment to making PA Life a market-leading title.โ€

A second and final round of judging will take place in June to decide the winners in each category. These will then be announced on 10 July at an awards ceremony to be held at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane, London.
