PAs spend one day a week organising events

Organising events takes up one day a week of the average PAโ€™s time. The events in question could be anything from a training session, company away day, conference or other off-site meeting.

This is one of the principal findings of an in-depth survey of a broad cross-section of the PA community conducted by PA Life in partnership with events agency Top Banana.

Top Banana MD Nick Terry elaborates: โ€œThe survey was set up to help us understand the often-unsung role of the PA in the event planning process. Certainly this statistic is indicative of the tireless and vital part that PAs play and the diversity of their overall role.โ€

Venue finding is a key aspect of the event process and one that an agency can streamline and add value to adds head of Top Banana Venues Helen Davis. โ€œGetting the venue right is crucial to the overall success of any event,โ€ she comments. โ€œThe proper venue can really help to ensure delegates leave feeling motivated and focused, so getting expert advice makes a lot of sense โ€“ especially for busy PAs who already have a massive to-do list.โ€

Readers can still get involved in the #PAEventTips campaign by tweeting their tips on smooth-running events for a chance to win an iPad Mini.
