Penelope Alice breaks Prohibition at The Ivory Vaults

PAs gather at The Ivory Vaults

I love a well-themed event and thatโ€™s exactly what I got when I joined around 100 other assistants at a PA Life event at The Ivory Vaults, where the team went all out in 1920s fashion.

The Ivory Vaults โ€“ also home to The Medieval Banquet โ€“ is tucked away in St Katherine Docks near Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. Itโ€™s a fantastic venue situated in the vaults of Grade II-listed Ivory House.

Downstairs the vaulted ceilings and original brickwork make for an intriguing event space. Each alcove is lined with benches โ€“ perfect for big functions of up to 450 people.

The theme theyโ€™ve gone for during our event is 1920s speakeasy and the whole venue team is dressed in trilby hats and flapper dresses. The space is used wisely, with tables laden with delicious food set up in some of the alcoves. Manhattan and Pimmโ€™s cocktails await arriving guests and thereโ€™s a variety of entertainment โ€“ a piano player and singers, an acrobat and a super-impressive man who juggles while balancing on his head on a pole. Wow.

This Christmas looks to be a good one at The Ivory Vaults with a full medieval theme. If this showcase is anything to go by, guests will be in for a special treat. Check out the venue โ€“ including the Medieval Banquet โ€“ yourself at ivoryvaults.com.
