Sardatur Holidays launches Meetings and Events division

Italian tour operator Sardatur Holidays has launched a Meetings & Events division as part of its ambitious growth plans to cement its position as the UKโ€™s number one Italy specialist.

The team will be headed up by Francesca Mustaffi who has over twenty yearsโ€™ experience in Meetings and Events.ย A native Italian from Merano, Mustaffi was Meetings and Events Manager for Kuoni Destination Management for ten years, working in Denmark for the inbound Scandinavia market and in London for the UK & Ireland market.

Sardatur Holidays was founded in 1987 and focuses on discerning clients looking for premium hotels, resorts and villas in Italyโ€™s leading destinations and islands. The tour operator was acquired earlier this year by Italian travel-industry heavyweight UVET and the new Meetings and Events division is part of a broader expansion plan.ย

The MICE product portfolio will include everything from events for twenty people in intimate locations across Italy, to larger events such as car launches and international conferences.ย Sardatur will also offer exclusive, stand-out experiences such as luxury trips with groups travelling to Italy by private jet.

Key products will include Chia Laguna in Sardinia, the popular Verdura Resort in Sicily, Castel Monastero in Tuscany, and the prestigious Forte Village Resort โ€“ for which Sardatur is the UKโ€™s number seller.

Gianni Bonuglia, MD of Sardatur Holidays, said: โ€œItaly is a perfect year-round event destination, with some of the worldโ€™s most beautiful venues, world class food and drink, a warm climate through all seasons, and a year-round programme of events.ย  We have been arranging meetings and events for clients on an individual basis for some time and have seen the demand grow exponentially over the past year.ย  Weโ€™re greatly looking forward to providing clients old and new the perfect event in Italy.โ€
