Sea Containers Events marks first birthday with retro-inspired party

Sea Containers Events celebrated its first birthday this week since the iconic South Bank located Sea Containers building launched its six event spaces.

To mark the event, 200 guests were invited to one of its most popular venues, Cucumber, on March 14 which boasts vies of Londonโ€™s famous landmarks.

Since opening its doors to commercial events, the venue has hosted over 200 individual events, the most popular types being Christmas parties, drinks receptions and summer parties hosted on the venueโ€™s 14th floor roof terrace.

โ€œI canโ€™t believe itโ€™s been a year since we launched Sea Containers Events to the world. Itโ€™s been a fantastic year with high demand for the spaces across a wide range of industries,โ€ said John Nugent, chief executive of hospitality firm Green & Fortune, who manages Sea Containers Events.

โ€œThe 1st birthday party was a great opportunity to thank those clients who weโ€™ve worked with over the last 12 months, as well as showcase the venue to those we are yet to work with. The event the embodies the creativity within the team we have on-board.โ€

On the night, guests were treated to glitter face painting, a DJ, magician and a party bag including bubbles, retro sweets and a home-made cocktail.
