Searcys at The Gherkin launches botanical glasshouse with Perrier-Jouët

Searcys at The Gherkin is being transformed into a luscious botanical glasshouse this summer, created in partnership with Perrier-Jouët Champagne.

The Glasshouse at the Gherkin will bring a botanical experience to the top of one of London’s iconic skyscrapers, from 15 July to 1 September.

Bringing nature to life in the heart of the city, the entire Iris bar on Level 40 will become an oasis of ivy and greenery, the perfect summer bar in which to watch the sun set over the Thames.

Guests can hire out the entire floor for exclusive summer events for up to 260 people or book the Table of Tastes private dining experience at Level 38 – all while enjoying panoramic views from one of London’s most iconic skyscrapers. The Glasshouse pop up at the Gherkin is an ideal location for meetings, corporate entertainment and summer parties.

Upon entering the Iris Bar, delegates will be invited to enjoy a stunning Champagne Garden in the main bar, all surrounded by a haven of exotic, flowers and plants, creating the illusion of a conservatory.

The Glasshouse at Iris Bar

A selection of Perrier-Jouët vintages will be available all summer and guests can take part in a Champagne Masterclass, where parties of all sizes can indulge in a tasting flight of three different cuvées.

Iris Bar mixologists have designed a special menu of botanical gin-based cocktails, created with natural ingredients. These include the iconic Gherkin Spritz– Beefeater gin, Perrier-Jouët Champagne, pickled gherkin juice and elderflower essence – and London Fields– a refreshing mix of Plymouth sloe gin, cox apples, fresh fruits, lemonade and lavender extract.

Also available at the bar, The Glasshouse Gin & Tonic trio will entice guests to experiment with garnishes and tonics that have been expertly curated by Searcys’ mixologists.

A special summery menu created by Searcys’ Shaun Rowlands will also be on offer, showcasing the flavour and versatility of British seasonal produce. The botanical theme will run through the Helix Restaurant this summer, for those wishing to stay for an indulgent dinner experience.

The Table of Tastes by Perrier-Jouët

Searcys and Perrier-Jouët have transformed one of the Gherkin’s five stunning private dining rooms, on level 38 into a pocket version of the Glasshouse. The Table of Tastes by Perrier-Jouët, is a unique installation featured in the centre of the room showcasing an array of bright, tropical flowers, leaves and botanicals inspired by the tastings notes of different Perrier-Jouët cuveés.

Guests can marvel at the views and the greenery, all whilst enjoying champagne paired with Searcys’ seasonal English fare. The experience can be explored by parties of all sizes, celebrating every occasion – from a leisure brunch to lavish dinner parties.

An exclusive line up of events showcasing Perrier-Jouët prestige cuvées and hosted by their brand ambassador will take over the Gherkin’s Nimbus room, 6-days a week during the summer.

The “Table of the Tastes” events packages are available online.
