Searcys toasts 150 years of St Pancras Station with new Champagne School

From April 2018, St Pancras Brasserie and Champagne Bar by Searcys will mark the 150-year anniversary of St Pancras Station by unveiling its first Champagne School.

The bar will boast an extensive bottle selection, including nine available by the glass, where guests will be able to take masterclasses to learn about champagne English sparkling wines.

Following a calendar of Cchampagne events, every first Wednesday of the month, the Champagne School will host masterclasses for ยฃ45 per person, led by Searcysโ€™ drinks ambassador, Joel Claustre.

Plus, guests can also book their own private classes for groups that will include exclusive masterclasses, champagne pre-dinner experiences and a five-course menu matching champagnes.

โ€œI am really proud of our team at St Pancras Brasserie and Champagne Bar, who have delivered a fresh and contemporary British menu that sits perfectly within the new design of the restaurant,โ€ said Matt Thomas, MD of Searcys.

โ€œThe launch of the Champagne School will allow us to share our wealth of knowledge on Champagne and British sparkling wines in more depth, internally as a company, as well as to the consumer. This is the first of many changes that we hope will mark a new era for Searcys.โ€

St Pancras Station originally opened in 1868, making 2018 the station’s 150th anniversary.
