Secretarial and support roles rise in Q2

Post-election confidence has seen the demand for secretarial and support staff leap by as much as 33% across the UK in quarter two of this year, according to the Robert Walters UK Jobs Index.

Growth in positions was fairly consistent across the country, with the North West seeing the biggest increase at 33%. London and the South East follow closely at 29%, while the Midlands saw a boost of 28%.

Figures from the report by recruitment specialist Robert Walters also shows the number of vacancies in business support roles has risen 12% from quarter one of this year.
