St Paul’s Cathedral and Searcys partnership to encourage business events

St Paul’s Cathedral has teamed up with catering company Searcys in a step to encourage business events, meetings and other occasions. Providing events management services and award winning catering, the company has added the global landmark to its portfolio in attempts to expand across the UK. Searcys have been tasked with providing a fresh and innovative style to the destination’s café and event catering.

Opening Wren’s Pantry at St Pauls, and following suit with Wren’s Tearoom, guests are being encouraged to attend for freshly made and locally sourced food, as well as embracing the company’s heritage with homemade cakes and pastries. Established in 1847 by the Duke of Northumberland’s pastry chef, the company is working hard to sell a brand of elegance and history, aligning themselves with some of Britain’s most recognisable venues.

Hosting a selection of spaces with sizes ranging from 20 to 250 guests for seated and standing receptions, the cathedral is hoping that Searcys’ own history will add its own unique flavour to the 300 year old London landmarks. The catering company is thrilled with the new team-up, as they see it as a one-of-a-kind opportunity to show their worth within one of the world’s most memorable cathedral.

“It provides such history and heritage and is one of the most beautiful buildings in the world – a truly special place to have afternoon tea or hold an event,” said Colin Gray, operations director for Searcys. “We are honoured to be able to add St Paul’s to our diverse collection of venues and with Searcys’ innovative and contemporary approach to hospitality and catering, we are certain that it will become a venue of choice for businesses from the corporate, agency and association sectors.”
