Staycity launches new aparthotel brand

Staycity, one of Europeโ€™s leading operators of luxury aparthotels, has announced details of Wilde Aparthotels, its new premium brand. Blending the long-stay independence of apartments with the luxuries of a hotel visit, Wilde is among the new breed of aparthotels appearing across the world. Flaunting its Irish heritage by naming the brand after 19th-century playwright Oscar Wilde, the aparthotels will open throughout Europe.

First opening this coming Autumn on Londonโ€™s Strand, properties are expected to appear in Edinburgh, Manchester and Berlin. Offering studios and deluxe studios over eight floors, including three sky level studios, Staycity is expecting the new brand to make an impact over the next few years.

โ€œWilde by Staycity has a clear personality,โ€ said Staycity Aparthotelsโ€™ CEO and co-founder Tom Walsh. โ€œits distinctive style, comfort and clever design will appeal to todayโ€™s city traveller whilst retaining our trademark home-away-from-home hospitality,โ€

Guests will be able to make use of smart in-room technology and will be provided with a touchscreen panel to control everything from the lighting and air conditioning to towel rails and blinds. Also featuring an XL-sized bed and 43-inch TV, the studios are equipped with a smartphone for international guests and kitchenettes with Nespresso and Nutri-bullet options for quality coffee and juicing within their room.

โ€œThe brand combines design cues from its locality coupled with an Irish stamp that alludes to its heritage,โ€ continues Walsh. โ€œWe intend Wilde to have a true sense of place, with designs continuing to evolve at each property.โ€
