The Anti-Ageing of Harmony Richards – Fiona Jane Collins (Self-published, £1.99 Kindle edition)

I can only manage to read a book from the “chick lit” genre when the mercury is nudging 40 and there is white sand between my toes. So it was with a heavy heart that I set out to read this book over the Christmas break.

Fiona Collins is a first-time author, but happily it’s impossible to tell. Her writing bounces along at a wonderful pace, with quirky and fun prose that is sure to get you chuckling away. At around 240 pages it will have you waiting for Collins’s next book – perfect for the beach or a long evening at home.
