The-Meetings-Show-June-2022-what-to-expect

It’s June, which means The Meetings Show is almost here and itโ€™s time to start planning your visit. As the UKโ€™s leading show for the meetings and events industry, it will be jam-packed with inspiration to help EAs and PAs exceed expectations and take their events to the next level.ย

ย

Taking place on 29-30 June at London ExCeL, this yearโ€™s show is twice the size of last yearโ€™s, featuring more than 500 suppliers including venues, hotels, destinations and technology providers, who are eager to share their latest updates and help you create those all-important โ€˜wowโ€™ moments. Wherever in the world you are looking for event solutions, from Aberdeen to Berlin, and Wales to Zimbabwe, The Meetings Showโ€™s got you covered.ย

ย

With sustainability top of the agenda right now, many exhibitors will be showcasing their latest sustainable innovations: meet with Make Venues to find out about its newly launched ethical food and produce initiative; etc.venues will share how itโ€™s creating carbon neutral biofuel pellets from recycled coffee grounds; Helsinki Partners will be discussing its new Think Sustainably digital service; and find out how Melia Hotels International can help you offset the carbon footprint of your events.ย

ย

If youโ€™re keen to learn more about this crucial topic, the show features several educational sessions on sustainability, including a workshop with industry body isla. The Meetings Show has also just announced that The Complete Sustainable Events Course, its online course created in partnership with isla, is back for its second year. The first course received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the class of 2021 โ€“ visit islaโ€™s stand to find out more and register for this yearโ€™s course, which starts in September.ย ย

ย

The Meetings Showโ€™s thought-provoking education programme is now finalised, with senior event industry experts from McKinsey & Company, Grant Thornton, DRPG, Identity, Agito, Glasgow Convention Bureau, London Convention Bureau and Lime Venue Portfolio among the stellar line up of speakers. Covering everything from mindful meetings to the metaverse, and accessibility and inclusivity to event safety and security, there is something for everyone.ย

ย

Planning your show visit couldnโ€™t be easier through the Swapcard platform. The app will streamline everyoneโ€™s event experience, allowing buyers and suppliers to connect, check their schedules and discover upcoming sessions. The platform also boasts an interactive map which will help users navigate the show floor, and much more.ย

ย

Of course, itโ€™s not all work and no play. There will be plenty of opportunities to socialise โ€“ if youโ€™re attending as part of the Hosted Buyer programme, kick off the show in style at the Hosted Buyer Welcome Reception, aboard the iconic Royal Navy warship HMS Belfast on 28 June. Bacardi will be sponsoring the Hosted Buyer Lounge, providing signature cocktails and mocktails throughout the show for hosted buyers. ย ย

ย
