The Best Destinations for Personal Assistant Workations

personal-assistant-destinations-for-workations

For Personal Assistants who can work remotely, consider going for a workation. Besides, why work from an office when you can work at a beach or a cosy cafe in some of the world’s most remote destinations? With a workation, you’ll be holidaying at some beautiful places while still fulfilling your work responsibilities. Between working, you can go to the beach, enjoy a scenic stroll, explore picturesque villages, and more.

If you find this interesting, then here are some of the best workation destinations for personal assistants.

Puerto Rico, Caribbean

Puerto Rico is one of those Caribbean countries that launched a workation program to encourage remote workers and freelancers to visit the country and work remotely. For PAs lucky enough to work from anywhere in the world, a workation in Puerto Rico is a fantastic opportunity to consider.

Puerto Rico is a gorgeous country featuring a mix of diverse cultures, heritage, and history. Brimming with beautiful landscapes, fascinating attractions, and picturesque cities, not to mention luxury hotels that cater to remote workers, Puerto Rico will make for a perfect destination for a relaxing workation holiday. When you’re not working, you will find plenty of historical sites and cultural experiences to enjoy in the country.

Since Puerto Rico is encouraging remote workers to visit, many hotels and resorts in the country have special offers that PAs can take advantage of. For instance, Combate Beach Resort has a workation package with a minimum six-night stay. The package includes amenities like Wi-Fi, meeting facilities, indoor and outdoor spaces for events, and more!

Burgundy, France

Burgundy offers a wealth of history and culture, not to mention many beautiful landscapes to explore, making it a perfect destination for PAs wanting to go for a workation holiday in France. Behind its variety of landscapes, Burgundy also has a unique way of life to offer, with great food, good wine, and ancient heritage sites.

You will never run out of things to do on your workation in Burgundy since there are plenty of attractions to explore during your downtime. Visit the Cathédrale Saint-Lazare d’Autun, a 12th-century Roman Catholic cathedral that stores the relics of St. Lazarus. Le Château d’Ancy-le-Franc is also worth a visit. It’s a 16th-century château famous for its four main facades that create a perfect square. Dijun, Burgundy’s picturesque region, is known for its scenic landscape, and the best way to discover this is by hiking through Dijon’s Owl’s Trail, also called “Le Parcours de la Chouette.” Walking through this trail is a great way to peek into the history of Dijon, especially during the 11th and 14th Centuries.

While there are plenty of great hotels in Burgundy, staying at vacation rentals is a better choice for long-term stays. These are furnished spaces with kitchen and other amenities allowing you to live comfortably while on workation in Burgundy.

Barbados, Caribbean

Over the recent years, Barbados has become one of the world’s most popular destinations for workations, and there are many reasons behind this. But Barbados’ charm is not only limited to its spectacular beaches. Its rich culture, fascinating history, and delectable cuisines make the island an exciting destination for workation. There is also an array of amazing villas to rent in the Caribbean, with much of these being in Barbados. This makes it the perfect place to stay for those needing their own space whilst on a workation.

As more and more remote workers are moving to Barbados lately, the government has offered an initiative allowing remote workers to stay up to 12 months and enjoy a combination of work and vacation life while on the island. Aside from relaxing at the beaches, you’ll find many other things to enjoy during your downtime in Barbados. You can swim with the turtles, explore the Animal flower cave, or sail on a yacht!

What’s great about going to Barbados for a workation is that you’ll find many luxury accommodations that offer workation packages. For instance, the Courtyard by Marriott in Bridgetown gives discounted rates to guests who will stay for at least seven nights. You will have access to high-speed internet throughout the hotel and even at the pool deck, allowing you to work anywhere within the property.

Vancouver Island, Canada

Vancouver Island encompasses the majestic beauty and stunning natural landscapes that Canada is known for, making it an ideal choice for PAs going for a workation. As a matter of fact, Victoria, a gorgeous city sitting on the southern end of Vancouver Island, is known as one of the world’s leading workation destinations.

When choosing Vancouver Island as your workation destination, you’ll find many wild beaches to explore during your downtime, and where you can swim, surf, and enjoy other water sports. If you love nature and adventure, Vancouver Island is your paradise. When not working, spend your time exploring the Pacific Rim National Park, home to wild and windswept beaches and lush rainforests. It also has hiking trails taking you into the forest and some remote beaches.

The Parkside Hotel & Spa is one of those accommodations that offer workation packages. Situated right in the heart of Victoria, Parkside Hotel offers in-room workspaces with complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi. Each suite has an in-room coffee maker and other amenities to help you work comfortably away from your office.

Scottish Highlands, Scotland
