TV Chef Simon Rimmer to keynote CHS 2019

Woman in crowd looking pleased to be an the event

Popular TV chef and Sunday Brunch host, Simon Rimmer, has been announced as the Keynote speaker at this yearโ€™s Conference and Hospitality Show (CHS).

Simon will be โ€˜in conversationโ€™ with Samme Allen, chair of the CHS Awards, who will lead a Q&A session taking questions from the floor.

Delegates will get the chance to meet Rimmer and ask about his career as a talented chef and owner of fourteen restaurants in the Northwest and Dubai. Rimmer admits his passion for food began as a restaurateur and continues to cook in the restaurants every week, which he enjoys immensely as it also keeps him in touch with changing culinary trends.

โ€œI love being able to interact with a live audience and share stories and experience,โ€ said Rimmer.

โ€œI understand that this is a tenth-anniversary show so Iโ€™m expecting a lively bunch of people. Iโ€™m particularly looking forward to being in a room of hospitality professionals and find out whatโ€™s new and innovative in the industry.โ€

Whilst he is best known as the co-presenter of Channel 4โ€™s Sunday Brunch, the perfect post-hangover show featuring a mix of chat, current affairs, guests and food with Tim Lovejoy, he has a wealth of TV experience such as the Channel 4 documentary Tricks of the Restaurant Trade , Meals in Moments (BBC2), and of course, as a contestant in BBC1s Strictly Come Dancing 2017 series.

Adding to this, Rimmer has written and published five successful books and regularly contributes to food magazines including Delicious, Olive, BBC Good Food Magazine and Vegetarian Living. He is a favourite at food festivals and demonstrations across the country, previously appearing at the BBC Good Food Show and Grand Designs Live, as well as many local and regional events across the UK.

Emma Cartmell, CEO of CHS Group, said: โ€œWeโ€™re delighted that Simon will be our special guest at our tenth anniversary Conference & Hospitality Show.

โ€œNot only is he a consummate performer and well-known television chef and presenter, as the owner of fourteen restaurants, he has a vast amount of experience in the hospitality industry.  Our delegates will love to hear about his own experiences and understanding how he keeps up to date with emerging trends whilst juggling several busy roles.โ€

CHS takes place Tuesday, April 30th, at The First Direct Arena, Leeds.ย
