UNIQUE VENUES: ICE BAR London

This year celebrates the 15th year of one of London’s most unique venues: the famous ICE BAR. Inside 30 tonnes of ice have been carved and sculptured into dramatic icons of Norse mythology to create the current installation, Valhalla Calling. 

On entry guests are provided with faux-fur hooded capes and thermal gloves that keep out the -5 chill and shield fingers from the sub-zero ice glasses. 

Before or after the experience guests can try new cocktails in the new Fire Bar, so called because of the backdrop of flickering flames, or the outdoor terrace which can accommodate 60 standing. 

The cocktail list has been designed by mixologist George Donditis with unique drinks such as the Rum Blazer and Yuzu Smash.

Diners can take a journey into South-East Asian restaurant, Yuu Kitchen, via a neon-lit Japanese street-scene that opens into a dining room dominated by a 25ft back-lit hand-drawn dragon.
