The National Gallery is set to offer enhanced and modernised event experiences when it unveils its reimagined Sainsbury Wing in May. To celebrate this next chapter, the Gallery has refreshed its events menus in partnership with newly appointed caterer Searcys.

The National Gallery refreshes events menus ready for May unveiling of Sainsbury Wing

The new spring/summer 2025 menus will be available from May for all daytime events held within the galleryโ€™s Grade I Listed Sainsbury Wing, which will feature new and exciting event venue hire opportunities as part of a ยฃ85m investment in capital build projects.
Searcysโ€™ bespoke events menus will include a range of breakfast and lunch options, from freshly-made sandwiches and plant-based salads to a creative selection of finger foods, all crafted using produce sourced from British suppliers.

Lunch options include a Summer Grazing Station, offering delegates a selection of sausage rolls and seasonal quiches with fresh salads, breads and sweet treats, while day delegate packages, including freshly-brewed tea and coffee, healthy snacks and lunches, are also available.
Dedicated menus for receptions will also be available for clients hoping to wow guests attending events in the impressive new space, which will include a 322-seater lecture theatre with state-of-the-art AV facilities.

A selection of delicious canapes and bowl food options has been created by Searcys in partnership with renowned chef Giorgio Locatelli, who will open his eponymous restaurant, Locatelli, in the Sainsbury Wing at the National Gallery.

Food will be available alongside a selection of premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including wines from England and Italy. Menus will be available as part of day delegate packages.
The availability of Searcys new menus coincides with the launch of four curated events packages designed to drive business success through inspiration found in art.

Clare Arouche, Head of Events & Hospitality at the National Gallery said: โ€œThe National Galleryโ€™s new Sainsbury Wing will feature new state-of-the-art, versatile event spaces which we are looking forward to adding to our offering, so weโ€™re thrilled to be working in partnership with such an illustrious caterer as Searcys to provide clients and their delegates with catering that complements the space.โ€

Rebecca Hawkes, Director of Sales and Events at Searcys, said: โ€œThe National Gallery is a world-famous setting for extraordinary events, and we are honoured to play a part in delivering unforgettable experiences in this special place. Committed to working with local, seasonal, and sustainable producers, we have carefully crafted a range of mouth-watering dishes to delight and inspire.โ€
