Win a cocktail-making lesson at Chotto Matte: now ended

Chotto Matte is one of the capital’s most exciting venues, serving incredible Nikkei cuisine and cocktails within a stunning environment. Now it’s offering PA Life readers the chance to win a cocktail masterclass worth £450.

Kurt Zdesar, the founder of Chotto Matte, (and the man who brought Nobu to London) launched the restaurant during the city’s Fashion Week in 2013. Since then it has become one of the capital’s must-see and be seen at destinations for celebrities and acclaimed foodies.

On the ground floor is the lava-stone cocktail bar, where Nikkei-inspired pisco and sake cocktails beckon. Here you can sit under a vast mural created by Tokyo-based graffiti artist Tom Blackford (also known as Ink Fetish) and watch the world go by – with or without a nibble from the menu. If you take a quick trip to the lower ground floor, you’ll be amazed by the incredible UV artwork by Houxo Que.

Executive Chef Jordan Sclare, formerly of Aqua Kyoto and Nobu, alongside Michael Paul from One Lombard Street, has created the menus for an exposed Robata grill serving smokey Japanese BBQ. This is in the main dining salon on the first floor, which is also home to the Nikkei sushi bar, where chef Keita Sato creates his magic.

Music is also one of the core features of Chotto Matte, with the restaurant now attracting aficionados from Ronnie Scott’s, a jazz club located across the road. To find out more about the venue, visit chotto-matte.com.

One lucky reader will win four tickets to a pisco cocktail-making masterclass worth £450, hosted by world-renowned “king of mixology” Fabiano Latham.

To enter, simply answer the following question: when did Chotto Matte launch?

Send your response, along with your name, company details and contact number, to competition@palife.co.uk by Friday, 30 January, with “Chotto Matte” in the subject line.
