The National Memorial Arboretum is the nation’s year-round place to remember, a special place that celebrates lives lived and commemorates lives lost. Part of the Royal British Legion family of charities, the Arboretum’s 150-acre landscape, home to around 25,000 trees punctuated with over 400 memorials remembers the selfless acts of military and civilian personnel in the most extraordinary of times.  

All profits generated by hosting events in Aspects supports its charitable mission, to help keep the Arboretum free to enter, beautifully maintained and most importantly here for families, friends and comrades to reunite, reflect and remember.

Established on a once barren reclaimed mineral extraction site, the Arboretum is a paragon of regeneration and they continue to ensure sustainability prevails in all their operations. From their Green Flag managed grounds to the seasonal local menus created by their in-house chefs and recycling and waste management practises, you can be assured that they take their commitment to sustainability seriously.

The idyllic location of the Arboretum is perfect to support wellbeing programmes. Delegates often visit the natural landscape and inspirational views and access to nature have huge benefits for them.  

Research has shown that being close to nature can reduce heart rates and cortisol levels, as well as regulating sleeping rhythms and improving the immune system. Views of nature and access to natural daylight, can increase productivity by up to 18%.

The Arboretum is home to hundreds of stories, tales of camaraderie, inspirational leadership, heroism in extraordinary circumstances and accounts of sheer strength and resilience. Its 45-minute guided walks can be themed to support events with topics including transformational change, inclusion and diversity and inspirational leadership.  

Celebrate lives lived

The Arboretum was conceived over 20 years ago by Commander David Childs CBE as a ‘celebration of a life lived’. Today, it remembers service and sacrifice through a range of different events including its Summer Proms or Carnival Windrush.  

Each December the Arboretum creates a unique light installation; Illuminated Arboretum. This kaleidoscope of colour takes place across the grounds and is designed to encourage exploration and discovery. This year, the Arboretum has created corporate hospitality packages designed to offer a fun and informal way to come together, thank teams and make new memories.
