The hugely successful event, that was delivered beautifully by the team at Carden Park resulted in StandOut confirming a three-year partnership with the resort. Carden Park are delighted to have had the opportunity to showcase their event facilities and management capabilities that led to the venue becoming a long-term partner for one of the UK’s largest event industry networking events.
Carden Park showcased its large-scale event expertise
The invite-only EBL networking event has become a must-attend occasion in every event professional’s calendar. It was launched with an objective to foster meaningful connections and sharing innovative ideas within the industry. The 10-year anniversary celebration was truly memorable. The three-day event was packed with first-rate pre-arranged meetings, meaningful content, unrivalled networking and memorable entertainment.
It was essential for Carden Park to not only comfortably accommodate a large number of delegates in a variety of formal and informal settings, but also to provide the “wow” factor for such an important anniversary milestone. The venue fitted StandOut’s brief perfectly. They required a large, self-contained venue away from urban distractions, complete with luxury hotel rooms for overnight guests and varied event spaces for one-to-one pre-arranged meetings and activities. High-quality catering was also essential throughout the action-packed days.
The EBL event deserved to be called the UK’s leading hosted buyer event
After the success of the 2022 and 2023 Event Buyers Live at Carden Park, StandOut worked with the hotel’s management and operations teams again to deliver an unforgettable experience for the 10th anniversary.
Planning the programme for a three-day event takes expertise and careful consideration. To offer a memorable experience that’s difference form similar conferences, EBL provided a unique agenda of activities interspersed with productive networking sessions and panel discussions. One of the key requirements st by the organisers was to avoid exhibition fatigue that can become an issue far too often. There were plenty of engaging activities included in the itinerary. Guests could take part in silent yoga, interactive game shows, food and drink tastings, outdoor activities, spa experiences, and – one of the most praised aspects of the event – net-walking. Taking networking conversations on guided walks through the lush Carden Park estate proved highly productive, with delegates enjoying views of the vineyard and sculpture garden while forging meaningful professional connections. In the evening, delegates were treated to an incredible drone light show on the front lawn.

Virtually every space within Carden park Hotel was utilised for EBL 2024. The hotel hosted panel discussions, gala dinners and speeches in the hotel’s largest venue space – the 400-capacity Carden Suite. The more intimate networking took place in the bars, restaurants and smaller meeting rooms across the estate. This sense of an ‘entire estate takeover’ was reinforced by extensive event branding throughout Carden Park.

A great result: A successful, large-scale corporate event
Hosting over 220 delegates, EBL 2024 proved a huge success with attendees, who gave the venue a satisfaction rating of over 90%. Combining world-class facilities, bespoke agendas, culinary excellence and immersive entertainment; the event delivered more than 1,200 high-value meetings and delighted delegates across all three days.
