Guests enjoyed a relaxed evening filled with seasonal treats, refreshing spritz cocktails, live acoustic performances, and the warmth of the midsummer sun, all set against the charming backdrop of this unique new space.
On arrival, guests were welcomed with a refreshing selection of summer drinks, including classic Pimmโs, the vibrant Pea Snap and Flora Dora cocktails, and a fragrant mint and basil lemonade. These were perfectly paired with a colourful array of canapรฉs created by Moving Venue, the exclusive caterer for the venue during the summer run of events. Favourites included a playful twist on the British classic โham, egg and chipsโ, featuring ham hock terrine, egg purรฉe, piccalilli, and crisp potato, alongside a smoked trout tart topped with gin and tonic crรจme fraรฎche, trout roe, and bronze fennel.
Guests were then invited to explore two vibrant food stations curated by Moving Venueโs chefs. The first, a Burrata Station, served luxuriously creamy burrata with premium toppings such as hand-carved Prosciutto di San Daniele and succulent peach. The second, a nostalgic Picnic in the Park Station, offered a whimsical take on British summer favourites including flaky sausage rolls, steak rolls, coronation chicken sandwiches, and more.
The evening drew to a stunning close with โA Celebration of Strawberriesโ, an eye-catching dessert station designed by Executive Pastry Chef, Sarah Hartnett. Guests indulged in a vibrant array of strawberry-themed treats, including strawberry tarts, macaron towers, and mini flowerpots, offering a true feast for the senses.

Beyond the food and drink, the garden came to life with relaxed, summer-inspired entertainment. Guests enjoyed classic lawn games such as croquet and giant Jenga, while a charming photo opportunity offered the perfect spot to capture the moment. Live acoustic music played throughout the afternoon, creating a relaxed and uplifting atmosphere that carried into the evening, culminating in a captivating performance by a saxophone player, who provided the perfect soundtrack as the sun began to set over Charterhouse Square.
The showcase was a true celebration of everything that makes summer in the city special: delicious seasonal food, relaxed garden vibes, and unforgettable experiences.
