The Design Museum donates kitchen equipment to the North Paddington Foodbank. The kitchen, designed to support the needs of the local community, will provide warm meals, host cooking classes, and offer essential support to individuals and families facing hardship.

Cooking up kindness: Design Museum donates essential kitchen equipment

The museum maintains that great design goes beyond aesthetics—it holds the potential to create meaningful impact. Through the donation of this state-of-the-art kitchen, the Design Museum is supporting the creation of a space where food brings people together, fostering community connection and wellbeing. This partnership highlights the role design can play in making a tangible difference in people’s lives.

Livia Puggini, Head of Commercial Partnerships & Events, comments: “We’re delighted to be part of this important initiative. At the Design Museum, we are always looking for ways to support our community, and this donation represents our commitment to using design in a way that has a lasting and positive impact. The kitchen will help create a space for nourishment, education, and togetherness, and we are thrilled to see how it will benefit North Paddington Foodbank and those they serve.”

The donation has been made possible through collaboration with project partners and the ongoing efforts of the team at North Paddington Foodbank. The Design Museum recognises the importance of this work and is pleased to support a project that will offer long-term benefit to the local community.
