Sustainability in events shouldnโt feel like a tickbox. For planners, assistants, and organisers, itโs about making smart choices that reflect your values, without adding complexity. At Imago Venues, we know sustainability is most powerful when itโs practical. Thatโs why weโre focused on doing the right things behind the scenes, so you can focus on delivering brilliant events that are better for your business and better for the planet.
At The Meetings Show 2025, weโre bringing that commitment to life in a bold, unexpected way, through a cocktail that captures our sustainability story in every sip.
Sustainability is more than a buzzword
Exceptional events should leave a lasting impression, not a lasting footprint. Located at Loughborough University, our venues are more than just places to meet, eat, and sleep. They’re living examples of how event venues can lead with purpose.
In December 2024, we launched our Sustainability Manifesto, a transparent and practical roadmap built around People and Planet. One of our key pledges was to meet the international standard for sustainable events, and we did just that. As of May 2025, weโre proud to be ISO 20121 certified, meaning every event at Imago meets recognised sustainability benchmarks. We also hold ISO 14001 accreditation, have earned Greenguage ECOsmart Gold, and are working towards B Corp certification.
For you, this means clear options, easy planning, and events that align with your companyโs values, whether youโre arranging a board meeting, team away day or full-scale conference.
Making sustainability easier for you
Weโve already introduced several low-impact touches across our venues, from carpets made from ocean plastic to reusable glass bottles and recycled stationary in our meeting rooms. But we know we can go further.
Weโre developing green event packages for organisations who want to host values-led, low-impact gatherings. Through our partnership with SkootECO, weโre now measuring the carbon impact of our venues and events. Soon, youโll be able to use a bespoke event carbon calculator, helping you make informed choices, offset emissions, and receive a sustainability certificate tailored to your event.
Cocktails with a conscience
Meet Berry Foamy, one of our Sustainable Sipping cocktails. Crafted from leftover berry compote, that would otherwise go to waste from our breakfast and lunch service, it is transformed into a vibrant syrup. Add gin, fresh citrus and syrup to create a smooth, foamy drink that captures our values in every sip. Waste not, sip lots!
Weโre bringing Berry foamy and itโs non-alcoholic sibling to our stand at The Meetings Show and weโd love you to drop by and try it. Itโs vegan, itโs delicious and itโs proof that sustainability doesnโt have to be serious to be effective.
Great events start with great choices
At Imago, we believe great hospitality is about more than buildings. Itโs about connecting people, making moments count, and helping every guest, and every organiser, to feel looked after. Weโre here to help you create events that are effortless, impactful, and built for the future.
If youโre attending The Meetings Show, drop by stand D82. Chat with our team, try Berry Foamy, and discover how Imago Venues can help you deliver your next event.
