The O2 and Gleneagles join list of ‘gems’ exhibiting at Champagne & Ice

The UK’s premier entertainment spaces have signed up to join more than 30 hidden and not-so-hidden gems at the inaugural Champagne & Ice Networking Event in London on 4 November. The event has been conceived by award-winning representation and marketing agency RAM Org.

“We wanted to create something special; an experience that mixed the different elements of standard networking events with an ambitious theme to attract the right buyers. However, underlining everything were two main aims; the first was that it had to offer a modular day to make best use of attendees’ time and secondly we wanted to offer real value for money to exhibitors with a ‘price per contact acquisition’ that stood it apart from similar events,” explains RAM Org joint owner John Kelly.

“The day has three modules to it that buyers can attend, either individually or the whole day, thus allowing people to make best use of their diary while meeting a selection of exhibitors that we feel are relevant to their markets. The first part of the day is a networking lunch with inspirational speakers, including Fay Sharpe from Zibrant, award-winning opera singer Marika Rauscher, who’ll be talking about how to conquer public speaking, and the guys from Bear Grylls Survival Academy, who’ll be presenting their unique take on team building. After that we have a speed-networking afternoon where attendees can win a diamond worth £1,000 and we’ll finish the day with entertainment, networking and lots of champagne!

“The format has clearly gripped the imaginations of both agency and corporate buyers alike, with more than 160 already signed up to attend from agencies such as Zibrant, Grass Roots, TFI Group, Banks Sadler, Touch Associates and Reed & Mackay, as well as corporate attendees including Ernst & Young, Deloitte, KPMG, Rio Tinto, The BBC, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Clifford Chance and RBS. We’ve clearly got the balance right on that.

“The theme of the day reflects the diamonds that can be won and the flowing fizz, as well as the hidden and not-so-hidden gems element of the exhibitors, who include The O2, Gleneagles Hotel, Historic Royal Palaces, Trinity House, Lough Erne Resort, The Caledonian Club, Axica Berlin, Ponant luxury cruise yachts, Hotel Estoril Palacio, The Marg, MEET360 Malta and many more, all chosen because we feel they deserve a bigger audience to the UK market.”

Kelly finishes: “It’s been a real labour of love to get this off the ground and it’s something that we’re really passionate about making a success of, as we see it as a win-win for buyers and exhibitors alike. We’ve had an amazing level of interest in it, though we still have a couple of places left to fill for exhibitors, so if you’d like to come along we’d urge you to get in touch soon.”
