Historic Royal Palaces announces Wildgoose team building at the Tower of London

Tower of London

The Tower of London, one of six venues cared for by independent charity Historic Royal Palaces, has launched a new activity to attract team-building events and add a new dimension to its business events offering.

The new activity โ€“ Tower Pursuits โ€“ has been designed in partnership with team-building expert Wildgoose and brings to life many famous features while also uncovering hidden secrets and lesser known facts about the palace. With a focus on technology, social media and guest interaction, Tower Pursuits draws on the history of the famous fortress, which is almost 1,000 years old.

Team building can be tailored for varying group sizes and ensures guests are left with a long-lasting and different perspective on the Tower. The activities have been devised to help boost productivity among teams and colleagues through sharing skills, boosting morale, confidence building and better understanding of each other.

Participants are tasked with visiting โ€˜hotspotsโ€™ around the palace and answering a series of trivia questions, filming creative videos and taking photos at each site to collect maximum points and beat their fellow competitors.

Historic Royal Palaces champions the use of technology across its sites and has recently been awarded a Museum & Heritage gold award in recognition of its state-of-the-art piece of digital storytelling, The Lost Palace experience at the Banqueting House, Whitehall.

The new team-building offering at the Tower is priced from ยฃ50 per person and includes set-up arrangements, tablets and medals for the winners.

Milan Thakrar, Business Development Manager, Commercial Events at Historic Royal Palaces said: โ€œWorking with Wildgoose has enabled us to offer a new, innovative team-building activity for clients who choose the Tower of London for a conference, meeting, or dinner. Most significantly itโ€™s allowed us to marry our history and culture with todayโ€™s technology and thereby appeal to a whole new audience.โ€

Shelly Henderson from Wildgoose added: โ€œThis is a superb extension to our offering, as the Tower of London has to be one of the most iconic destinations in the world.ย We had great fun bringing the history to life and thinking how we can use so many of the palaceโ€™s amazing assets, like the White Tower or Traitorโ€™s Gate for example. We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to what has to be the definitive team build destination.โ€
