New ‘handshake mouse’ to reduce wrist injury

A vertically-designed mouse designed to emulate a handshake has been launched by Dutch ergonomic experts BakkerElkhuizen.

The style is meant to reduce strain as the handshake position means that when using a vertical mouse the wrist doesn’t bend sideways as much and the lower arm needs less inward rotation. This means there is much less muscle activity in the lower arm than when using a standard mouse, which in turn helps you work pain-free and quickly.

The Scandinavian company is aiming to reduce muscle tension and causes of RSI in the office with their ‘SRM Mouse’. In a statement, the company said:
