Business travel survey shows the true mettle of PAs

Some of the most unusual requests that PAs have been asked to action when booking travel for their bosses include flying across the world to retrieve forgotten items, sourcing specific food and arranging honeymoons. These are just some of the responses to a survey on business travel recently conducted by PA Life in association with business jet operator PrivateFly.

The poll of more than 500 personal and executive assistants also revealed that 70% of todayโ€™s admin professionals support at least two bosses, with 45% working for three or more executives. Almost half (42%) said they have booked their bossesโ€™ private holidays in addition to their business travel.

Unusual destinations mentioned in the survey include Uzbekistan, Tanzania and Colombia, plus an Arctic expedition starting from Norway, as well as The Congo, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (an island airport in Russia) and a remote location in Canadaโ€™s British Columbia, only accessible via a private aircraft.
