The British Medical Association gives Paella Fella a positive prognosis

The British Medical Association (BMA) recently brought 16 members of the team from its London office to East Grinstead to have a practical, engaging experience with a Paella Fella team-building event and reported a very positive outcome.

The BMAโ€™s Head of Division, Sheridan Hammond comments: โ€œThe day was fantastic โ€“ great fun and it far exceeded our expectations. All of our business objectives were met and we learned about our strengths and weaknesses alongside the competitive spirit that exists amongst the team.โ€

A colleague adds: โ€œIt was good to actually talk to one another rather than emailing across the office. It made us communicate and come together in a fun way to complete some tricky tasks.โ€

Paella Fella offers a credible and enjoyable team-building day that is proving both popular and effective for corporate groups, with positive benefits such as problem solving, team working and communicating more efficiently and effectively together.

Founder of Paella Fella Nick Blythe came up with the unique concept of developing and engaging staff by making this traditional Spanish dish after taking part in paella competitions in Valencia. โ€œItโ€™s not as easy or as crazy as it may sound,โ€ says Nick. โ€œThe day consists of various challenges to test initiative, organisation, logic, communication and working together to deliver to tight timescales.โ€

The day involves setting up a mobile kitchen, selecting the most useful equipment and preparing the correct ingredients, from cutting up a whole chicken to cooking and eating the paella. All of this is done against the clock and to a set of criteria that can be defined by each individual client.
