The Adam Fidler Academy’s Graduation Ceremony 2024 took place on the 18 July at the Abode Hotel in Manchester. The event saw EA and PA qualifications celebrated with a formal graduation, in academic dress, having completed Level 3, Level 4 and Level 5 qualifications from the Academy.

The bulk of learners at Adam Fidler Academy qualify with degree-equivalent programmes, making them graduates in the true sense. The event was hugely successful and recognised also the value and worth of the Executive Assistant. Adam comments: “We were delighted to see our graduates, who travelled from all over the UK, be with us for this unique occasion. Adam Fidler Academy is the only training provider of EAs and PAs who offer the opportunity for students to graduate, properly, as a result of the academic standards and the professional status we offer our students. Credible, confident, qualified… these attributes describe Adam Fidler Academy EAs spot on!”.

The event saw 38 EAs and PAs qualify with the following formal accredited qualifications:

  • SFJ Awards Level 3 Award in Professional PA and Administration Skills
  • SFJ Awards Level 4 Certificate in Business and Administrative Management
  • SFJ Awards Level 5 Diploma in Business and Administrative Management

Students, who travel from all over the UK to the Academy based in Manchester, undertake a number of study days at the Academy as part of their study programme. It’s important to recognise that all students also work in full-time roles, as EAs and PAs, so juggle their attendance and studying alongside a busy job and home-life.

What are the Adam Fidler Academy courses like?

Typically, students attend for on average 8 days over a 12-month period, to undertake various Units which comprise their formal qualification. For example, students at Level 4, which is HNC and equivalent to a first class degree, attend for 8 days. The students undertake Units such as Management Skills, Effective Office Management, Commercial and Strategic Awareness, and The Role of the Executive Assistant.

Each Unit is assessed by a written assignment, which has to meet Awarding Body standards. Study programmes are practical, giving the student the tool-kit to perform more competently in the role, as well as covering the theoretical aspects of management theory and business studies.

The majority of students qualify with the Level 4 qualification, which is fast becoming the industry standard – and is the standard set by Adam Fidler Academy.

Additional awards also presented at the graduation ceremony

Three additional Awards were presented at the event: Award for Aspiration (Melissa Dunn); Award for Perseverance (Maria Darnell); and Student of the Year 2024 (Mandy Nash).

Melissa Dunn, who graduated with the Level 5 Diploma, and who won Award for Aspiration, commented: “Being a student of the academy and collaborating with you on MaxIMIse brings me great pride. Receiving an award was truly unexpected, and I am deeply thankful for the recognition.   Adam’s commitment and passion for educating business support professionals are unparalleled. Nobody else values our community quite like you do.”

Mandy Nash, who graduated also with the Level 5 Diploma, and who was presented with Student of the Year 2024, said: “I was honoured, and overwhelmed, to receive the ‘Student of the Year’ Award. I am feeling very proud of this achievement, knowing that the last year or so I have navigated through maternity leave, anxiety, returning to work, studying and becoming a parent. I am very thankful to everyone who has supported me throughout my studies, all of whom have made this recognition possible. I 100% share this Award with my little boy, who makes me want to be the best that I can be.”
