De Vere Venues Theobalds Park secures WorldHost accreditation

The team at De Vere Venues Theobalds Park

De Vere Venues Theobalds Park in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire has become the latest organisation in the UK to gain national recognition for its commitment to customer service after being awarded official WorldHost Recognised Business status.

The hotel and conference centre is also the first venue within Hertfordshire to receive this accreditation, as it works in partnership with Visit Herts to promote tourism into the county.

WorldHost Recognised Business status is awarded to businesses that have trained 50% or more of their front-line staff using any of the WorldHost programmes and signed a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

In total, WorldHost license holder Nathan White, the new General Manager of Theobalds Park, has delivered in excess of 500 hoursโ€™ training to more than 60% of his team in an intensive three-month programme that fully underlines De Vere Venueโ€™s commitment to professional staff training and customer service excellence.

On receiving the recognition โ€“ presented by Lady Penelope Cobham CBE, Chairman of Visit England โ€“ Nathan White commented: โ€œMyself and the team at Theobalds Park are passionate about service standards and are incredibly proud to have achieved WorldHost Recognised Business status in such a short amount of time. When our customers see the WorldHost logo displayed in our business, theyโ€™ll know that we have made a commitment to delivering an exceptional experience for them. Not only does this generate a positive buzz about the service we offer, but it supports Hertfordshireโ€™s position as a friendly and welcoming tourist destination and we are thrilled to be the first hotel and venue in the country to have been recognised with the award.โ€

Richard Smith, spokesperson for WorldHost added: โ€œWe are delighted to present this outstanding venue with its official WorldHost Recognised Business status. This award celebrates both the commitment to a customer-centric culture at this picturesque venue, as well as the hard work Nathan and his team have put in to engage with and pass the WorldHost principles of customer service programme.โ€

The WorldHost recognition certificate is valid for two years and is renewable on completion of a refresher course. In order to preserve the value of the WorldHost recognition, the programme may be monitored through impromptu mystery shopper visits.
