The Eastside Rooms and Aloft Eastside Birmingham hosted PA Life Club

The newest conference centre in Birmingham, The Eastside Rooms, and the 4* Aloft Birmingham Eastside, which is adjacent to the venue, hosted PA Life Club members for an overnight trip. 18 club members travelled from London and the South East to put the best of Birmingham’s large venues to the test. Checking out venues, menus and accommodation is very much part of a well-informed PA’s and EA’s job.

The train journey from London Euston was just one hour and fifteen minutes to Birmingham New Street station, and the drive to the Aloft Eastside Birmingham a quick 12 minutes. The check-in to our spacious and very nicely decorated rooms was equally seamless. The rooms offer any conference guest a very comfortable stay and even come with a Nespresso machine!

It was time to meet the venue’s events team and to get to know the PA Life Club members. We headed down to the lobby in the Aloft Eastside for welcome drinks from the on-site W XYZ Cocktail Bar before being taken on a show-around of the Eastside rooms. This venue links straight into the 195-bedroom Aloft which is very useful for those planning events where overnight stay is needed.

A show-around the state-of-the-art Eastside Rooms

Our tour of the venue took us first to the biggest meeting space, the Affinity suite. The room is 880 m2 and can hold up to 1200 attendees in theatre style. We also saw other meeting spaces and boardrooms such as the impressive Belmont Suite and the Ashtead Suite. The venue has 23 contemporary event spaces to choose from, spanning over three floors, and can cater for all your meeting, event and conference needs.

After the tour it was time to head up to the third floor to enjoy a spectacular dinner hosted by the Eastside team at the Ashstead Suite. The fantastic onsite Head Chef and catering team had prepared an exquisite culinary delight for us. The room was beautiful with winter wonderland vibes very much the theme with stunning table decorations. There was also a flower wall with a Chill Out neon sign in the middle – a fantastic Instragam photo backdrop that we just had to put to good use.
