Mercato-St-Marks-breakfast

If you prefer more of a breakfast then head to Mercato Metropolitano Mayfair in the historic St. Markโ€™s Church

Soleado brings a fresh Spanish twist to breakfast and brunch in a partnership with Metropolitano Mayfair andย guided by Michelin-starred chef Marcos Morรกn. But that’s not the only reason to include this Spanish market restaurant on our favourites – it’s become a local favourite within Mercato Mayfair food halls inside one of Londonโ€™s beautiful churches.

For the first time, early birds can now enjoy breakfast at Mercato Metropolitano Mayfair, set inside the beautiful Grade I-listed St. Markโ€™s Church on North Audley Street. The new breakfast offering transforms the grand, vaulted space into a peaceful and inviting morning spot. Soleado Restaurant has been beautifully designed by Lorenzo Castillo, one of Spainโ€™s most important interior designers, adding an extra layer of elegance and authenticity to the breakfast experience.

Head Chef Williams Salvador is at the helm, working under the mentorship of Marcos Morรกn, the Michelin-starred chef behind the celebrated Casa Gerardo in Asturias. Their new breakfast menu marries Spanish soul with British staples, offering the classics alongside vibrant Mediterranean flavours.

Expect comforting favourites – sausages, hash browns, and a selection of egg dishes alongside lighter options like fresh fruit salad, yoghurt with homemade granola, and freshly baked pastries. These sit effortlessly next to Soleadoโ€™s more adventurous Spanish offerings, such as escalivadas, Spanish tortilla, Iberica ham toasts, and fresh churros, staying true to the restaurantโ€™s roots while embracing the flavours of London mornings.

The menu caters to professionals too, whether theyโ€™re looking for a quick coffee before the commute or a slower sit-down meeting. All of it comes served in one of Mayfairโ€™s most iconic settingsโ€”with stained-glass windows, towering ceilings, and the unmistakable charm of a historic church thatโ€™s now a vibrant community food hub.

โญ๏ธBreakfast is served daily from 8.30am to 11am at Soleado, located in the Gallery at Mercato Metropolitano Mayfair.
