Manchester PA Awards 2023 winners announced

The Manchester PA Awards, headline sponsored by AO Arena returned with a bang to The Point, Emirates Old Trafford, on November 2^nd.

The awards hosted by television presenter and personality Josh Denzel, were organised by the Manchester PA Network and event partner Square Fish Events with the event recognising the outstanding EAs, PAs and Support Professionals for their passion and commitment to their roles.

Over 500 guests were there to celebrate the incredible achievements of the winners. The categories included the Make a Difference Award, sponsored by KPMG and won by Chloe Smithers from Arbuthnot Latham, as the National PA Award sponsored by Manchester City and won by Emma Kernan-Staines from The Football Association.

Great support for The Christie charity

The event also raised nearly £14,000 which is set to be donated to a vital research project taking place at The Christie, which will help young women with breast cancer, with the aim of leading to a national breast cancer risk assessment programme, where women identified will be offered early screening and preventive therapies.

The Manchester PA Network has committed to increasing their current fundraising to a massive £250,000 by the end of the next awards ceremony.

Co-founder Melanie Sheehy said “We are so proud of all we have achieved with our fundraising and we have so much more to give to this amazing charity. We want to raise as much money as we possibly can across the next year to hit our new target, and with the help of our amazing members we know anything is possible”.

Bringing PAs, EAs and Support Professionals together from across the region is incredibly important whilst also recognising the amazing work they do within their industry.”

“Every year ticket and raffle sales have been donated to The Christie Charity as well as lots of PA’s taking on some very exciting fundraising challenges. Thanks to monies raised by the Manchester PA Network we’ve been able to fund projects, equipment, services and improvements to give cancer patients and their families the very best care, treatment and support possible. Without help from organisations like Manchester PA Network The Christie simply couldn’t do the lifesaving and life-changing work that it does every day.”
