Penelope Alice shares a cocktail or two with Corporate Traveller

Sun, sand and cocktails – all we were missing from last night’s networking evening with Corporate Traveller was the sea!

A group of PAs and I headed to The Montague Hotel in Bloomsbury, London last night where travel management service, Corporate Traveller got everyone prepared for summer.

A beach bar had been set up outside, complete with real sand and a bbq, while The Montague was on hand to supply some delicious coconut cocktails and summer grub, including mini burgers, fish and chips and deep-fried veggies.

It would be great to bring my team here for a bbq this summer, plus I’m told that the area is also transformed into a snowy ski lodge over the winter months making this space perfect all year round.

There was even a jet ski photobooth, courtesy of Avis, for us all to get a snap on. It was fantastic to see an alternative option to the usual photobooth where you stand in front of a camera and simply pose.

United Airlines and & Air Canada also offered guests the chance to win two tickets to Nashville – can you believe it? PA Life club member Laura Koonjean was the lucky winner on the night, I wonder if she’ll take me along with her? Congratulations Laura!

The hotel truly left me in awe. Located in Bloomsbury off the beaten track of the busy streets of London, guests can be transported back in time thanks to its traditional and decadent décor.

Oozing pure luxury, each of the 100 bedrooms have been individually decorated with a hint of leopard print. I’m told leopards are of particular importance to the owner who has actually fostered three of the wild animals in Africa.

Meanwhile, there are various meeting and conference spaces of different sizes, as well as numerous bars and restaurants, including the Leopard Bar, Garden Terrace, Blue Door Bistro and Cigar Terrace – there is something here for any event you’re looking to host.

At the end of the night we were also given a goodie bag with various treats, including a cup, lip balm and nail file. What a lovely touch to round off such a fantastic evening.

Thank you once again to Corporate Traveller, Avis, United Airlines, Air Canada and The Montague Hotel for taking care of us all evening. I’ll definitely be returning!
