A tribute to Susie Barron-Stubley

It is with extreme sadness that the PA Life team announces the passing of Susie Barron-Stubley.

We have been receiving tributes throughout the day from many who knew her within the industry. Thank you to all who have been in touch with kind words.

Susie was an International Motivational Speaker, Conference Host, Chairperson, Key Note Speaker, Author and Business Trainer who possessed an inimitable mixture of enthusiasm and energy whenever she stepped onto a stage – the PA Life team have had the privilege of working with her at several EXECSec Summits over recent years.

Her speaking experience spanned nearly a decade, coaching and training thousands of EAs & PAs all over the globe, with audiences in the UK and Europe, Dubai, China, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, South Africa and Australia.

As one of the industryโ€™s most recognisable faces, Susie was fondly regarded for her unique talent of understanding, and motivating her audience through a blend of heartfelt storytelling, knowledge and humour.

A passionate ambassador for the PA profession, Susie changed the working practices of thousands of PAs around the world. She will be sadly missed by all those whose lives she touched – our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.

As a long-time supporter of PA Life, members of the PA Life team who knew her personally wished to say a few wordsโ€ฆ

โ€œSusie was a shining light within our industry. She touched everyone she came into contact with. I first met Susie in 2008 when she hosted a seminar at the very first EXECSec Summit. Her industry knowledge and infectious personality engaged with all level of PAs.

Throughout the years I have seen Susie bring an audience to their feet with admiration and on one occasion I have seen tears from delegates because of how honest and inspirational she was.

Through our professional relationship we also became friends. I am deeply saddened by Susieโ€™s passing. Susie has left us all a legacy of how to strive to better ourselves both professionally and personally. We will all miss Susie and our thoughts & prayers are with her family and friends.โ€

“Susie made a huge contribution to the PA community and was always a big hit when she spoke at our events. Her insight into the role of the PA allowed her to provide top-notch training that proved invaluable to PAs of all levels. She knew how to light up a room with her infectious smile and made me laugh many times with stories about her personal adventures around the world. Her passing will leave a big hole in the community that wonโ€™t easily be filled.”

โ€œAs a long-time supporter of PA Life Magazine, Susie Barron-Stubley has always been an inspiration to many PAs and EAs on their personal career journeys. Her presence at numerous EXECSec events throughout the years, along with her strong and empowering advice has inspired others to further themselves and become the PA they always strived to be.

As a kind, funny and thoughtful representative from the industry she will always be held in high-regard by the PA Life Team – and we are sure, by many of our readers. Susie touched many with her ingenious approach to the bettering of the Executive Assistant role, her techniques and processes will surely flourish on through the many PAs she has worked alongside.โ€
