From the desk of Penelope Alice, Britain’s most fabulous PA: Aegon Championships hospitality launch with Keith Prowse

As an avid tennis fan and dutiful PA, I graciously accepted an invitation to the launch of the corporate hospitality packages on offer by Keith Prowse at this year’s Aegon Championships, taking place from 9-15 June at the Queen’s Club. I think Mr P will be ever so taken by the variety of options available.

The hospitality provider showcased its new ideas at Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen restaurant in Old Street near the City. The crowd was heaving, but I managed to speak to some of the Keith Prowse team members and snuck in a conversation with the UK’s own tennis favourite Ross Hutchins (be still, my beating heart).

The first package on offer this year is called Love Fifteen. Jamie Oliver created the menu for this one and it includes English-style tapas (such as the scrumptious fried chicken bites I sampled at the event) and an afternoon tea complete with open sandwiches and tasty treats – “no cake stand required,” as the brochure claims.

For every one of these packages sold, a donation will be made to Jamie’s charity, Fifteen, which allows young unemployed people to gain work experience in the restaurant industry. That certainly puts a noble twist on corporate hospitality.

Another interesting new offer this year is the Roof Garden, a unique mix of casual and formal set in a chic indoor/outdoor space. Meanwhile, the Club Lounge, the President’s Room and the Real Tennis Museum take things up a notch if you prefer a more sophisticated experience to entertain your clients.
