From the desk of Penelope Alice, Britain’s most fabulous PA: Coach corporate gifting launch

I am your typical girl when it comes to handbags. Put me in a shop full of them and I can spend hours browsing. Well the other night I was invited to the launch of Coach’s new corporate gifting collection at its New Bond Street location. I think Mr P will be glad I went – it makes a nice change from the personalised pens he usually has me send out.

These luxury leather items add a personal touch when you’re thanking a client for their business. Having seen and felt the products myself, I can vouch for how fabulous they are. For men, there are briefcases, totes, wallets and belts, while for the ladies you can choose from handbags, cosmetic cases and bracelets, among other gorgeous gifts. Plus, there’s a team dedicated to helping business buyers if you’re stuck for inspiration.

The shop was in top form for the event, its shelves and rails stocked with plenty of beautiful bags for us to daydream about. Of course there was champagne on offer, but those who were thinking about work the next morning were treated to a refreshing mix of mint leaves and elderflower juice. The delicious canapés included melon wrapped in prosciutto, mozzarella with tomatoes and goat cheese.
