London’s Sky Garden gets a frozen re-vamp

If you’re seeking a standout venue that boasts a memorable view, consider the Darwin Brasserie or Fenchurch Restaurant for an intimate Christmas meal to treat clients of employees to.

There’s no doubt about it, London is home to numerous skyscrapers and rooftop bars all competing to offer guests the best views of the City’s skyline. But with so many on offer it’s hard to determine which one will suit what event or party size. This is where the Sky Garden comes in; an oasis located 155 meters up that consists of expertly landscaped public gardens spread out across three floors.

Encased in a large glass dome in 20 Fenchurch Street, the venue features an open-air terrace, Sky Pod, City Garden Rooftop Bar, Darwin Brasserie and Fenchurch Restaurant, which offers guests all-day dining and drinking with stunning views to complete it.

To mark the arrival of Christmas and the cooler months, the Sky Garden has been transformed into a winter wonderland. Designed in conjunction with Moët & Chandon, the venue boasts gold and white décor, ice-covered sledges and penguins, while those visiting can also indulge in one of the warm cocktails to keep them cosy. I got to visit and experience the make-over – which is on show until early 2019 – and the stunning display really is one to check out this festive period.

Inside, guests can take advantage of the hot water bottles and fury blankets to keep them warm, while also getting the chance to wander around the floors and explore all of the greenery and the exquisite design.

If you’re seeking a standout venue that boasts a memorable view, consider the Darwin Brasserie or Fenchurch Restaurant for an intimate Christmas meal to treat clients of employees to. Alternatively, apply for your free tickets online if you’d like to visit the venue and tuck into the sharing platters or some of the delicious cocktails.

Operated by the caterer rhubarb, Sky Garden can be hired out for corporate functions including Champagne receptions, product launches and private dining, where small groups of 16 can be catered for. But, if you are seeking something a little more lavish, the venue can also welcome gatherings of up to 600 if hiring out various areas.

The Sky Garden is worth a punt this Christmas season, not only to witness its fantastic frozen theme, but to soak up the glorious sights of London in all its glory. Whether you’re entertaining a client new to the City or looking to show some appreciation to loyal team members, this venue will score high – I’m sure of it.
