Penelope Alice goes for a ride at the Porsche Experience Centre

I can’t pretend to know much about cars, but I can appreciate the beauty of a Porsche in all its forms. When I found out the luxury brand runs the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone, which offers meeting spaces, I knew I had to visit.

So I joined my fellow PA Life readers for an afternoon at the venue, including a tour of the facilities and an adrenaline-pumping run around the course in a stylish Panamera followed by yummy afternoon tea.

We were split into two groups and I was lucky enough to be among the first to jump in with two other PAs to be a passenger in the Panamera – ours was the top-of-the-line GT version, according to our driver. He explained the features of the car (very swish indeed) and then took us on the private course, where he immediately put his foot down and gave us a real Porsche experience. The course features sharp curves and nail-biting straight-aways, as well as specially constructed surfaces to simulate wet, ice and snow conditions to test the traction. All of this gave the car a chance to show off its perfect engineering, as it barely flinched on the “icy” surface.

The Porsche Experience Centre is located within the grounds of the famous Silverstone Circuit, the home of British motor racing. What better surroundings for such a venue? The centre offers unique hospitality for memorable business meetings, corporate events and team-building days.

The venue features six flexible meeting spaces that can accommodate up to 80 in a variety of configurations and are complemented by a 100-cover top-quality restaurant. Plus, the light and stunning Porsche Atrium can host up to 200 people. The space boasts a display of up to seven Porsche models. All of the spaces feature superb AV equipment, including high-definition projectors and Bose sound systems, and they also benefit from natural daylight.
