Tredwell’s scoops AA Restaurant of the Year – London

Tredwell’s from Marcus Wareing Restaurants proudly flies the ‘London’ flag this evening as it scoops AA Restaurant of the Year – London.

Unquestionably one of the greatest chefs of his generation and the best of British, it is little wonder that he has taken home this prestigious award.

Each year the AA independently inspects hundreds of restaurants across the British Isles. This award recognises restaurants that provide cuisine of a truly excellent standard, as well as demonstrating innovation and ambiance and providing the highest level of hospitality.

Tredwell’s is the latest offering from Marcus Wareing Restaurants, bringing modern London cooking to the heart of the West End, along with killer cocktails and wine list. The ideal venue for locals, Londoners and visitors alike, Tredwell’s perfectly encapsulates the buzz and vibrancy from the surrounding area.

Whilst the food offering continues to evolve, items such as Chicken Liver Mousse & Bacon Jam and Slow Cooked Beef Short Rib have become instant classics, and the recently introduced breakfast and brunch menu for the weekends has ensured the extended opening hours better serve the demands of its most loyal customers. Two bar areas, on the ground and lower ground floors, are also helping build Tredwell’s reputation as one of the most exciting and fun destinations in the West End, which is further complemented by its live music offering Friday – Sunday. This win marks the start of an exciting second year for Tredwell’s, which celebrated its first birthday in September.

Marcus Wareing says, “It is amazing for Tredwell’s to be acknowledged by the AA Hospitality Awards and it is a brilliant showcase for all of the hard work the team has put in. To win this award feels very special.”

Chantelle Nicholson, Group Operations Director and mastermind behind Tredwells says, “We have built an incredible team at Tredwell’s which continues to grow alongside the restaurant. To be recognised at this level is absolutely brilliant and a real testament to everything we have worked so hard to achieve.”

And the name? Fans of Agatha Christie may recall that Tredwell was infact the butler’s name in Christie’s book ‘The Seven Dials Mystery’…
