Agiito’s CCO offers his top tips for traveller wellbeing

Agiito-business-travel-tips-from-Steve-Banks-CCO

As corporate travel volumes return, business travel programmes have renewed focus on wellbeing and duty of care. TMCs can minimise organisational and personal risks to travellers, while helping reduce stress and anxiety levels on- the-move. Steve Banks, Chief Commercial Officer for Agiito, shares his tips to improve business traveller wellbeing for your organisation.

1. Know your travellers

How mature is your traveller and booker community? Employees have great expectations of their employer when it comes to wellbeing. Understanding the kind of support that your people need can improve individual wellbeing and your employee retention too.

2. Know your suppliers

How you travel, where you stay and the venues that you choose can transform a trip. The quality of content available to planners as they book has grown in recent years. The key here is to know how to use your booking tool effectively or ask your TMC.

3. Travel policy

Is your policy fit-for-purpose to meet the demands and challenges of post-Covid travel? While organisations weren’t travelling, it presented an opportunity to rebuild travel policies that worked for their employee’s wellbeing – so, don’t be afraid to make informed adjustments. Inject some flexibility to empower travellers and let them know you’re looking out for them. TMCs can help through a mix of technology and expert consultants.

4. Communications

Ensuring information reaches bookers and travellers is key! Giving travellers access to quality content can nudge them in the right direction and reduce stress.

5. Fail to plan, plan to fail

Without forward planning, if something goes wrong it’s likely to impact how smoothly the meeting runs. Having an accurate and reliable travel itinerary is a great place to start. You should prepare for potential schedule changes by seeking-out a TMC that offers 24/7 support and mobile booking to offer peace of mind.
