Academic Venue Solutions Showcase 2020 – Refresh your Senses

Academic Venues Solutions is an association for Academic Venues throughout the UK, and we have over 50 member venues.

One thing that makes academic venues so different to their competition, is that they are often numerous types of venues in one location; universities are often spread across huge rural campus or city centres and might have their original 19^th century teaching building, located adjacent to a newly built lecture complex with breakout and refreshment spaces.

Most academic venues can offer something different from the standard hotel meeting space.  For the most part, universities have been around for many years and while they boast state-of-the-art conference facilities and all the latest AV that goes with that, many of these facilities may be located in the most architecturally stunning historic buildings or be set within acres of beautiful parkland.  All colleges and universities have one purpose – to enable groups to meet and teach.  Academic Venues can also offer a unique link to academics working in the institution and access to dedicated space created for the teaching disciplines of the University.

Each year, our venues come together in London to ‘Showcase’ the superb venues and facilities where you as a conference and event planner can host your events.  In March 2020, this will be held at the University of London, Senate House and we would like to invite you to join us at this one day event showcasing over 30 academic venues from across the UK who are looking to meet with conference and event planners.  They will be sharing information about their campus, what unique facilities they have to offer and why their venue is an excellent choice to host key events throughout the year.

Delegates attending the event can expect to ‘Refresh their Senses’ with the exceptional spaces that academic venues have to offer, during vacation and for some, throughout the year.  It is a great opportunity to network with a range of venues all under one room to update your knowledge on academic venues and which ones best suit the needs of your organisation.
