Wilson has been nominated as Director of the Year in the Innovation, Social Value and Sustainability Impact, and Small – Medium Business categories.
A celebration of success and leadership talent, the IOD awards gives the business community a chance to acknowledge the excellence and professionalism of directors from across the UK.
The Director of the Year – Innovation award recognises directors who have successfully implemented a transformation, restructuring or remodelling of their services in 2021. The Social and Sustainability Impact award commends directors who have demonstrated their commitment to the fight against climate change. And the Director of the Year – Small – Medium Business award acknowledges business leaders who have overcome challenges relating to COVID-19 and drive forward their business plan, exceeding their objectives for the past 12 months.
Wilson has been instrumental in ACE’s development since taking over as director three years ago, driving a number of schemes which has seen the business reach the upper echelons of corporate travel management.
The annual IOD East of England Director of the Year Awards serve as a great opportunity to highlight the significant contributions Sarah has made to the social and economic prosperity in the business travel community.
“I’m very grateful to be nominated for three awards by the Institute of Directors, especially given the challenges we’ve had to endure as a business the past 18 months. It’s been incredibly tough at times but recognition like this makes it all worth it,” said Wilson. “These nominations wouldn’t be possible without the whole team’s efforts, they’ve been there to support me whenever I’ve needed it. I look forward to us all celebrating with the rest of the nominees next year.”
The awards will take place on Friday 7th January 2022 at the Radisson Stansted Hotel.
