App of the Week: Marlin

A new app for EAs and PAs says it cuts out the middleman for job seekers.

An app called Marlin, designed specifically for Personal and Executive Assistants on the hunt for a new job, says it can put users in direct contact with employers without the need to submit a CV or deal with recruitment agencies.

So how does it work then? Candidates can visit www.marlinapp.com or download the app from the iOS App Store or Google Play and register without having to upload a CV.

Then then need to enter basic contact details, a profile picture and fill out their previous work history, which will then be verified by Marlin.

Employers can then contact the user directly through the App, by phone or email to discuss job opportunities.

Employers can search for free and have the option to pay a £95 per month subscription fee for 12 months.

This provides them with access to all of the candidates that are registered on the App, or alternatively employers can pay £295 for 30 days.

Marlin App founder Demos Demetriou said: “You could be a junior housekeeper, experienced butler or family office accountant. If you want to be found by a private household or family office you really need the Marlin App.

“There are no recruitment agencies in the middle, just a transparent app that puts you in direct contact with your potential employer.

“We are revolutionising this sector and the feedback from candidates that have already registered has been excellent.”
