Aviva reveals UK’s Best Shoffice winners

Aviva has revealed the winners of its competition to find the UK’s best “shoffices” – namely, sheds or outbuildings converted or built for use as workspaces.

The winners – each winning £250-worth voucher to choose from for Amazon, John Lewis Partners, Ikea, B&Q or Currys PC World – were selected by property expert, podcast host and author, Louisa Fletcher, looking for original, innovative designs, with bonus points awarded for brilliant use of budget.

And the winners of Aviva’s competition for UK’s best “shoffices” are:

Claire Taylor Hughes, Thurso
Claire borrowed her son’s playmat and daughter’s desk to make her “shoffice”.

Sandra Keogh, Hampshire
“This room was just a tatty storage shed in the garden we completely redecorated new floor, wall covering, blind, desk and chair really.”

Kazzy Minton, Pembroke
Filed with personality and, tiny as it is, Kazzy’s “shoffice”/design studio is also incredibly well organised.

A couple that also caught the judge’s eye …

Eye-catcher: Brian
Blending seamlessly with a beautiful garden, Brian’s “shoffice” combines a place to kickback with an artist’s studio.

Eye-catcher: Mitch
While working from home during lockdown, the ‘Bailey Arms’ wasn’t only Mitch’s very own pub at the bottom of the garden but was also his “shoffice”.
