Brits reveal their most awkward meeting room mishaps

Office workers across the UK have admitted to accidentally walking in on an uncomfortable situation due to a meeting room mix-up. One in three Brits have confessed to an awkward meeting room encounter, with most people either unintentionally walking into the wrong room or confusing their time slots.

Among the embarrassing moments, a quarter of British workforce has walked in on were dismissals and disciplinary meetings while more than one in five have unintentionally walked in on an emotional heart-to-heart. Meanwhile, 8% of workers have had a shock when stumbling across an intimate encounter between their co-workers.

A lack of clearly defined labels for meeting rooms were found to be a culprit for a majority of people, who mistakenly went to the wrong room because they couldnโ€™t find a sign, name or room number. With fears that these mishaps can cause friction and discomfort among staff, teams are risking efficiency through a lack of preparation.
