Business Travel Show reveals robust PA conference programme

The Business Travel Show has outlined the final line-up of speakers and topics for its Fundamentals Conference.

Boasting content designed for PAs and EAs who book travel, five sessions will be held each day across the event.

Meanwhile, a two-part Travel Management Best Practice Workshop will repeat across the two days, making this yearโ€™s Fundamentals Conference the showโ€™s biggest yet.

On Wednesday February 21, sessions include:

Ten quick wins to get you started in travel management

Online booking and expense management โ€“ how to choose it, how to implement it, how to maximise adoption

Safety and security โ€“ a best practice guide for beginners

Choosing a travel management company and other partners

Communication โ€“ how to engage travellers and other stakeholders in your travel programme

Thursday 22 will feature talks on:

Using data for improved savings and control

Travel management for SMEs

Corporate payments โ€“ achieve more savings, more data, more process efficiencies

Travel policy โ€“ your key to balancing maximum compliance with traveller experience

Negotiating the best savings and value with travel suppliers

Marijke Poppink, who runs a travel management consultancy, will be presenting the session on online booking and expense management, said: โ€œEnsure they are GDPR compliant, flexible, and preferably on the same platform as offline bookings.

โ€œThey also need to let you change settings so that they meet your needs as closely as possible and save you time rather than simply offer the largest amount of flights available. There are lots more tips, which is why I suggest PAs and EAs should come to my workshop and I will tell you everything.โ€

For the first time, PAs will also be able to attend a two-part Travel Management Best Practice workshop that will be held on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Business Travel Show takes place at Olympia London from February 21 to 22, 2018.
