PA Life has teamed up with ODEON EVENTS to give you the chance to win tickets to an exclusive screening of the latest Marvel Studios movie, Thor: Love and Thunder, in their incredible ODEON Luxe Swiss Cottage IMAX screen.
Relax in fully reclining seats as the immersive screen and speakers draw you in until you’re part of the film itself. You’ll get to check out the action in all its IMAX glory as Chris Hemsworth dons his cape (and wig) again as the Asgardian god of thunder and faces off against Christian Bale, who takes up the mantle of Gorr the God Butcher, in the latest Marvel Studios blockbuster to hit screens.
The screening will be held at ODEON Luxe Swiss Cottage on 14th July. With a 17:00 arrival time for canapes and drinks, it’s sure to be a super powered evening topped off with an epic IMAX screening of Marvel Studios’ latest release. We’ve secured 25 tickets with plus ones to give away, so there’s plenty of chances to grab a pair.
The film sees Taika Waititi (Jojo Rabbit, Thor: Ragnarök) take the director’s chair again as Chris Hemsworth’s Thor hangs up his cape and journeys through the cosmos on a quest for inner peace. His search for harmony is halted however, when Christian Bale’s (The Dark Knight, Ford vs Ferrari) Gorr the God Butcher starts a galactic killing spree of deities.
The film will be shown at one of ODEON Luxe Swiss Cottage’s five luxury screens. Every seat on every row has been expertly designed so you can fully relax and recline during the action, with three times more legroom than standard seats. There’s parking available at the cinema on Finchley Road, and Swiss Cottage underground station is less than 100 metres away, so it’s the perfect spot to catch the latest big screen blockbuster.
Hosted by ODEON Luxe Events, the evening will be the first ever ODEON Events Film Club Screening at ODEON Luxe Swiss Cottage. With cosmic cocktails and multiverse canapes served before the screening to start the event off in heroic fashion.
The film marks the seventh outing for Chris Hemsworth as Thor, with the last being Avengers: Endgame in 2019. The actor described the filmmaking process as, “…a wild and fun and wacky experience, as all Taika Waititi movies are.” This Thor instalment finds the Australian actor team up with the New Zealand director for the second time, after Thor: Ragnarök. Waititi called the movie, “the craziest thing I’ve ever done.” He went on to add, “I definitely feel like we put everything – every idea and every single ridiculous concept or gag or stunt or character – into this film. I couldn’t be happier with it.”
For a film event of this size, you need a viewing experience to match. With the IMAX screen at ODEON Luxe Swiss Cottage, you’ll be able to experience the film in the way that the director meant you to.
