Dressing for work with Beyoncé’s PA

As the personal assistant to Beyonc? – one of the most instantly recognisable and effortlessly stylish women on the planet ? you certainly wouldn?t envy Sam Greenberg?s daily task of choosing something to wear to work.

From attending the Grammys in LA on a Tuesday to skydiving over New Zealand with ?Bey? herself on a Wednesday, you?d be forgiven for thinking Greenberg?s dress-code is anything but simple. But for the Queen of Pop?s right-hand girl, it?s all about looking ?clean and cool? whatever the circumstance.

Speaking to Vogue magazine, Greenberg revealed a variety of tips including packing lightly, ditching high-heels and dressing for a 10-hour flight without ending up looking like a crumpled mess.

  • Remembering who you work for ? ?I think that in this job it is about looking clean and looking cool, and not trying to be much in the spotlight because that isn?t why you?re there. It is also representing whom you work for.?

  • Cool flats and chic sneakers are your saviour – ?I definitely don?t wear heels most of the time, because I?m always on my feet and running around,? Greenberg says. ?I try to stick to really cool flats and sneakers.?

  • Never over-pack – ?Shoes always go at the bottom,? Greenberg says knowingly. ?Make everything as small as you can, and as flat as you can ? and also always leave room, because you never know what you are going to pick up on the road.?

  • Keep your wardrobe simple and ?all-encompassing? – Usually, Greenberg goes straight from airplane to business meetings. She wants to look put together, but not so much that travelling is unbearably uncomfortable. She sticks to playsuits, overalls, and the previously-mentioned sneakers. When backstage, she sticks to an all-black dress code with black onesies and, believe it or not, Beyonc? merchandise

?The [merchandise] pieces are curated so well and they are designed in such a cool way,? Greenberg explains. ?Whether it is throwing on a sweatshirt that says ?Surfboard? to go to the gym or putting on one of the T-shirts under a Levi?s denim jacket, it?s all really functional and cool.?
